My four month old iphone 8 keeps randomly dimming. I do NOT have automatic dimming on (I've read about that) and the problem is getting worse. Any solutions? Should I contact Apple or Verizon (where I bought it) for help? What worked for you?

There's a few ways the iPhone could be automatically dimming. I know you mentioned that you don't have it turned on, but I'd like to make sure all bases are covered.
Make sure the iPhone display isn't changing because of Night Shift: Use Night Shift on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
