Error code -43 whilst trying to delete files

I keep getting this error message when I try and delete any files on my system.

OS Seirra 10.12.6

:Have you tried to restart Finder? You can do this by clicking on the Apple icon on the left of the menu bar and selecting "Force Quit", or by pressing Command + Option + Escape.

Then select "Finder" and click the "Relaunch" button.
